I cannot believe that it is the month of June already! Where does the time go!
In abilities unleashed this month I explored wind and string instruments, like the trumpet and banjo. It is interesting to see the different noises different instruments make! I also made sock puppets with my friends. This was a great session for me as I loooove socks!
The highlights of cooking this month was when I made Chickpea curry and pasta sauce with the staff. In my Lifeskills sessions this month I tried out a “clock game” on my tablet. This was an enjoyable game for me.
The highlight of my computer sessions this month was getting the chance to do loads of jigsaws on my tablet. I love creating a jigsaw using the photos on my tablet. In my personal book sessions I have been making final touches to my folder as I may not have personal books in my new program.
The highlight of my sports session this month was when my friends and I had a dance party. Dancing is a great way to exercise the body. It makes it easier when you listen to good music too!
In floristry and repairs sessions I helped make posies for the hospice. I loved smelling the rosemary!
This month I also went to the Merivale community centre to help with folding clothes and organizing their bookshelf. I finished working there now as my new program starts next month.
This month has also been the Start of the Football World Cup in USA/Mexico/Canada. At the Centre my friends and I drew countries out of a hat. We will see which country does the best. I got the country Haiti! It was their first time at the world cup and they have already been knocked out.
Half way through the year already. I hope the next six months will be awesome!
